Travelling with pets

We fully understand that it can be difficult to travel without your best friend, and here you can read the general guidelines for traveling with animals from Aarhus Airport.
Be aware that it is always the airlines’ rules that apply when you want to travel with animals.

When you travel with animals from Aarhus Airport, there are two ways to transport the animal:
Pet in Cabin (Small animal – can be kept in a cage and weighs max 8 kg.)
AVIH (Larger animals – traveling in cages or crates and transported in the cargo hold)

Both options must be booked in advance against payment and must be settled directly with the airport.

If you travel with “Pet in Cabin”, you have the animal with you throughout the journey.

When checking in animals, the animal is handed over as late in the trip as possible.

Please note: Service dogs for blind passengers are welcome on board all flights. This service is free.
