New route: Bornholm
The Danish airline DAT has opened the ticket sales for a new route from Aarhus Airport to the beautiful sunshine Island of Bornholm, which will operate during the high season from 2020.
The airline DAT has put Aarhus Airport on the route map when they fly to the popular holiday island Bornholm in the summer period 2020. With the new route, the Jutland airline passengers can look forward to a direct route to summer holidays on the rocky island.
“Our strategic focus on expanding the route network has now reached Bornholm. In line with the demand of the travlers of East Jutland, we have chosen to open the route to Bornholm in collaboration with DAT. The route will benefit the many travelers who spend every summer on Bornholm, who now have the opportunity to fly directly from Aarhus Airport to Rønne Airport on Bornholm, ”says Peer H. Kristensen, Director of Aarhus Airport.
DAT has operated scheduled flights since 1996 and is a well-known name in the Danish aviation market. For many years, DAT has operated holiday charter flights from Aarhus Airport on behalf of tour operators and has transported tens of thousands of guests to Mediterranean sunshine destinations. Now the time has come for the sunshine island over them all, Bornholm.
“The Danes are increasingly choosing to go on holiday to Bornholm. The new route from Aarhus Airport means that even more Danes can enjoy an idyllic summer holiday on the sunshine Island. At Destination Bornholm we are pleased that DAT and Aarhus Airport see good opportunities in Bornholm as a holiday destination for the holidaymakers of East Jutland, ”Pernille Kofod Lydolph, Director of Destination Bornholm.
The new route to Bornholm is the airline's first route directly from Aarhus and guests can look forward to fast, modern and comfortable ATR turboprop flights. Departures will be Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays to and from Aarhus Airport and Rønne Airport on Bornholm. The flight will only take 1 hour and 5 minutes.
The airline tickets for this year's summer holidays can be booked now through most online portals and travel agencies as well as via DAT's website at www.dat.dk.
