How to book assistance

If you need assistance during your trip, it is important that you book this service through the airline when you book your flight tickets. When you book with the airline, the airport will get the necessary information about your needs enabling us to provide the best service for you.

You should book assistance, if you:

  • Need help getting to and from the plane
  • Need help getting onboard the plane
  • Use a wheelchair
  • Bring a guide or assistance dog
  • Have impaired vision or hearing

To ensure that we can provide the right service, you must book assistance at least 48 hours before departure. We would recommend that you do so seven days in advance.

Facilities

Aarhus Airport has been designed with all travelers in mind, and we have made sure that our facilities are accessible to passengers with disabilities.

  • Elevators or assistance with stairs

  • Convenient wheelchairs available for boarding

Upon arrival, we can meet you:

Parking for disabled

We offer parking for disabled close to the main entrance on P1. The first five parking spaces on row L at P1 are reserved for passengers with disabilities. In addition, we also have two parking spaces reserved on P2 in row A. To use these parking spaces, you must have valid disability card, which must be visible in the windscreen at all times. Note that the card must be readible from the outside at all times.

If you want to be picked up at the parking lot, you can arrange it by contacting us in advance by phone or email.

Sun flower lanyard

For passengers with invisible disabilities or hidden diagnoses that make the journey challenging, we offer the option of wearing a sunflower lanyard. The lanyard acts as a discreet signal to our staff that you need extra attention or assistance.
